When a potential local customer does a search on Google, Bing or Yahoo! for something like “Dog Groomer” the “Search Engine” returns relevant results from all over the nation. BUT over 50% of searches done these days are “local searches”, meaning that instead of searching for “Dog Groomer” they are searching for “Dog Groomer Glendale Arizona” or whatever city they happen to be looking for that service in. The great part of this is that most the time they don’t even have to put in their city because the search engine knows where they are, so they will be given local results FIRST.
